Bone Density Mineral Scan (BMD) is offered routinely from 70.
It is used to identify osteoporosis, which increases your risk of fractures.
If you are identified as having low bone strength, osteopenia, then have a repeat BMD in 2 years, otherwise do it every 5 years.
